Today at the lesson we will revise the grammar material and words  you’ve learnt, we’ll compare British and Belarusian meals and at the end of the lesson you’ll make up a story about Belarusian meals.

2. Речевая зарядка

Look at the board. Here are some proverbs about health. Your task is to match 2 parts of the proverbs.

1. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
2. Health is better than wealth.
3. Healthy mind in a healthy body.
4. Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

Your home task was to learn some words. Let’s do the crossword and check up you knowledge.

Now, let’s watch the video about British meals. After watching you will answer the following questions.

1)  What does British breakfast consist of?

2) What does British lunch consist of?

3) What does British dinner consist of?

And now say if the sentences are true or false:

1. The British eat pasta for breakfast.

2. The British don’t eat at home.

3. Dinner is the main meal of the day.

4. Чтение текста

   We live in Belarus. What food do we eat? When do you have breakfast/ lunch/ dinner? Where do you have lunch? At home or at the canteen?

  Mike and Liz live in Britain. Look at the pictures and say what food people eat in Britain. ( ex. 1a, p.7-8)

   Read the conversation and put the pictures in the correct order. (D, A, B, C)

   Read out the sentences to describe the pictures. Do it in pairs.

Ex. 1b, p.8 Answer the questions.
