Цель урока: обобщение и повторение материала по теме  “A zoo in my suitcase”.

Задачи:

Образовательные:

  • Обеспечить в ходе урока повторение  грамматического правила «Употребление определенного артикля с географическими названиями»;
  • Создать условия для отработки навыков и умений в чтении, говорении, восприятии речи на слух;
  • Актуализировать знания по теме «Растительный и животный мир Беларуси и Великобритании»

 

Развивающие:

  • Создать условия для развития коммуникативных навыков через монологическую и диалогическую речь;
  • Создать условия для развития таких аналитических способностей учащихся как умение анализировать и делать выводы;
  • Создать условия для развития памяти, внимания

 

Воспитательные:

  • Способствовать развитию культуры взаимоотношений при работе в парах.
  • Содействовать повышению уровня мотивации через использование наглядности на уроке.

- Always! What about you?

Students answer the last question.

  1. Speaking

Look at the board (slide). What can you see there? Can you guess what the topic of our lesson is? Yes, you are quite right. The topic of our lesson is The nature of Belarus. And at today’s lesson we’ll speak about nature, read and listen some texts, revise our grammar material.

But what is nature?

Ss: -it’s flowers, animals, forests, trees.

Do you agree that nature is our wealth?

Ss: Yes.

Now let’s read the text about the nature of Belarus. Choose the right option. (p.34, ex.3a)

Now listen and follow in the book. Check your predictions.

You’ve already learnt the grammar rule of using the definite article before geographical names. Now it’s time to show your knowledge. Here on the table you can see the cards with geographical names. You are to divide them into two groups. (The first group finds the names with “the”, the second group finds the words without “the”).

Thanks a lot for your information. But there are a lot of other endangered animals in the world. And the next task for you is to read the information and match the numbers and the pictures. Then you are to rank the animals from the most endangered to the least endangered.

 

Well, nature is our wealth. We can’t live without nature. Now let’s try to answer the question : what should we do to save the planet? Look at this tree. Do you like it? Why? 

Ss: there are no leaves in the tree. 

Right you are. This tree  is The Tree of Deeds. Let’s decorate  it. I’ve got some leaves. They are green and yellow. On the board you can see some phrases. Say what we should or shouldn’t do to save our nature, our Earth. So a green leaf is what we should do, a yellow one is shouldn’t do.

(Ss go to the board and stick the leaves saying: We should/ shouldn’t …)

Look! What a beautiful tree!  Now  it’s  bright,  colourful.  If  we protect our nature, we’ll save our Earth. So, Ss, thanks a lot for your work. Our lesson is going to be over, but I’ve got a present for you. If you want to get this present, you’ll have to decode one phrase. This phrase is our motto today.

(Ss guess the phrase: “Every Day Should Be Earth Day”, I give them the

card with this phrase).

Well, our lesson is over.  I  hope,  Ss,  you’ll  remember  that  our  nature is our wealth.
